Mentoring, at its core, guarantees young people that there is someone who cares about them, assures them they are not alone in dealing with day-to-day challenges, and makes them feel like they matter. Even research confirms that quality mentoring relationships have powerful positive effects on young people in a variety of personal, academic, and professional situations.

Elevate A Child  works with children in disadvantaged communities to raise aspirations and help them grow in character and competence.

We improve self-confidence and develop numeracy, literacy and communication whilst reinforcing our core values of fairness, self-control, good judgement and staying power.

We do this through one-to-one mentoring with positive role models and team activities to promote leadership, trust and responsibility.

The Impact

We look to make a real impact on the communities in which we work and today our structured, focused program gives children the confidence and skills they need for a brighter future. It’s an exciting time at Elevate A Child as we have grown over the past years. We are looking to increase our mentoring provision to more schools in Kenya.
