Allan is a brilliant boy born in a small village in Masii, eastern Kenya. His parents do not have a permanent home but reside at the local shopping center. Allan lives with his grandmother who provide a stable place where he call home. Most people in his community earn money by working in farming, livestock and poultry raising. Access to basic services is limited. Maize and beans is the staple food. Some families prepare root crops such as sweet potatoes and cassava as a substitute to maize and beans. Access to safe drinking water is limited and they dependent on rivers, deep wells and communal faucets.
Allan aspires to be a lawyer in the future. His dream of becoming a lawyer has been propelled by the need to help the less privileged in the society especially girls and mothers get justice. Alan believes that success never comes on a silver platter but through hard work.
